LLOYD’S BANKING ON TWOSE SUCCESS
AFTER LONG AND SUCCESSFUL CAREER
Popular service manager Dave Lloyd is saying goodbye to Twose after a 50-year career with the business
Dave started at the Tiverton factory in 1963, working as a fitter, machine operator and welder before moving into development and testing. It was an ‘apprenticeship’ that served him well – giving him an expert knowledge of Twose’s comprehensive product range.
He joined the service team in the early 80s and travelled throughout the UK and abroad supporting customers, dealers and distributors. He also set up the company’s displays at agricultural shows and organised demonstrations of Twose equipment.
Dave said it would be tough to leave after such a long career and paid tribute to his colleagues at Twose and throughout the Alamo group:
“It has been a pleasure to work alongside the teams at Tiverton, Ludlow and Salford Priors and I would like everyone to know how much I appreciated their help and expertise. I could never have achieved anything without their support.
“Twose is a great company with great people and products so I’m sure it will continue doing well in the future.”
Twose director of sales and marketing Tim Coleridge said: “Dave has been a model employee for half a century and has been a great ambassador for the Twose brand. We will all miss his enthusiasm and expertise enormously.”
Dave will be succeeded by Twose’s after-sales technician Michael Woodgate, who can be contacted on 07721 769481.

TOP AWARD FOR TWOSE AT IRELAND’S BIGGEST SHOW
Twose has won a major award for quality at Ireland’s FTMTA Show – taking the plaudits
for its new-style five-section rollers.
The award recognised both the enhancements and the suite of new features introduced,
including:
• A strengthened main frame and reinforced draw bar developed for even greater durability
• A commercial-spec braking system that reduces stopping distances and prevents
excessive strain on tractor brakes
• Optional 24-inch Cambridge breakers and rings are available (standard size: 22
inches) to ensure peak performance when rolling the soil - aiding consolidation
and moisture retention
• A new pressure relief system protecting both the rams and arms over uneven ground
when stress may be placed on the end rollers
• Continuous motion linkage for the outer arms, replacing the old rack and pinion
system. This protects the arms from wear and tear when folding and unfolding
• Heavy-duty clamps secure the rollers in place and prevent movement
Twose Director of Sales and Marketing, Tim Coleridge said: “We are proud to have
won this important award which recognises our commitment to delivering exceptional
machines at a great price.”
More than 18,000 visitors attended the show – the biggest farm machinery event in
Ireland.

machine has been designed for farmers and contractors and offers robust build quality,
a light and agile performance over the ground, and fast-action hydraulic folding
for an easy transition to transport mode.
Key features and benefits of the new machine include:
Exceptional productivity
• 14.8m working width makes the RT1500T one of the biggest and best-performing rotary
tedders on the market.
• 14 rotors, each equipped with six steel-sprung tines ensures the machine makes
light work of forage harvesting turning the crop to produce an even swathe for faster
drying times.
• Five swathes cut by a 3.0m mower can be worked in a single-pass
• Capable of working up to 15 hectares an hour
Rugged, reliable construction
• A heavy-duty clutch with interlocking steel fingers and an innovative gearbox
protection system enhance durability and ensure the 1500T delivers a consistent
and reliable power transfer to the rotors
• Rugged chassis and light but durable connection tubing between the rotors delivers
strength and stability across the entire length of the machine
• Slip-clutch protection enhances the reliability of the machine and improves the
longevity of key components
Versatility
• Rotor angles can be customised for different conditions – improving the performance
of the machine depending on the volume of material to be worked. Customising the
machine is fast and easy and different settings from 10 to 19 degrees are available
• Fast and easy height adjustment of the tines
Manoeuvrability
• Wide floatation tyres and swivel wheels allow the best in manoeuvrability and
comfort, enabling the RT-1500T to closely follow the contours of the ground

in varied ground conditions
Quick and easy transport and storage mode
• Hydraulic folding enables fast and easy transition to transport mode – reducing
the width to just 2.98m
• Hitching on and off can be completed in seconds
• High-stability parking stand ensures the machine is positioned securely
The new machine Complements a range of proven tedders and increases the choice of
available working widths to six: (4.5m, 5.3m, 6.0m, 6.8m, 7.85m and 14.8m).
The RT-1500T is suitable for tractors of 95hp and upwards.

ROTA-ROLL FLATTENS THE FIELD WITH INNOVATIVE TOW-AND-GO ROLLER
Twose has just launched ROTA-ROLL, an innovative tow-and-go pasture roller which
will help farmers work faster and safer.
The machine is an end-tow roller with a unique twist – it features a hydraulic positioning
system which enables an operator to switch from safe transport mode to a full-width
rolling position via one tractor spool.
ROTA-ROLL allows users to simultaneously turn the roller through 90 degrees into
the working position, lock it securely in place and raise the transport wheels.
The operation can be accomplished from the safety of the cab – saving time and hassle
when rolling multiple fields.
Another key breakthrough is the mid-mount position of the axles which reduces stress
on the tractor and drawbar and ensures a tighter turning circle for greater manoeuvrability
in confined spaces.
The roller has a heavyweight 1.0m drum for higher ground pressure and is made from
high-grade steel. It offers a 3.65 metre (12’) working width, and the high-lift
wheel position ensures effective ground clearance.
Durability is enhanced by incorporating shaftless drums with heavy-duty bearings,
while transport is safe, easy and comfortable.
ROTA-ROLL is finished in the new eye-catching all-red livery of Twose’s Farmers
Favourite Range.
Director of sales and marketing Tim Coleridge said: “Our new ROTA-ROLL machine allows
customers to switch a high-performance heavyweight roller from transport mode to
a working position in less than 30 seconds.
“The clever repositioning system will save users time and remove the risks of strain
and injury from manually repositioning the machine.”
